Police rush to try and locate thief in Tilbury. They didn't get their man but have asked for help from local people who may have information

A SIGNIFICANT police operation took place in Tilbury this afternoon (Wedmesday, 19 November) in a bid to apprehend a wanted man.
Uniform and plain clothes officers flocked to the area around Perth House and shops on Calcutta Road, in Tilbury.
Entrances to access roads and building were blocaked by officers but ulimately it was to no availa.
A statement from Essex Police says: "We were called shortly after 3.35pm to reports a man wanted in connection with thefts from shops had been seen.
"Officers attended the area and made enquiries but no-one was located."
However, they hope local people may have information that will eventually lead to his apprehension.
