Police seek help as they probe crash that left man in serious condition in hospital

Officers investigating a serious collision in Aveley yesterday (Monday, 20 January) are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.

The single vehicle collision, involving a Silver Mercedes B200, happened at 2.50pm in Aveley Road.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers are specifically appealing to the driver of a black Vauxhall Corsa, which was travelling towards Grays, to get in touch as officers believe they have vital information.

The road was closed in both directions between Warwick Lane and Usk Road while police investigations took place.

A statement from police said: "Anyone with information or dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries are urged to come forward. Please cite incident 643 of 20 January.
