POLICE are calling for the help of the public as they seek to find the perpetrators of a robbery on a visually impaired woman.

The incident took place in Stanford-le-Hope on Sunday evening and officers investigating the incident are hoping local residents will have vital information.

A statement from Essex Police says: "Can you help? We are appealing for information after an incident whereby a person who has a visual impairment had some items stolen from them.

"Were you near to Wharf Road on Sunday, 10 October at around 6pm or do you have any doorbell/CCTV footage from this area that may have caught anything to assist in our enquiries?

"Please contact us at [email protected] quoting the title "Facebook appeal 11/10/21" if you have any information. Thank you."
