A significant number of police officers were seen in the area of Vicarage Square and one part of it was codoned off for a period of time.

A statement from Essex Police today says: "Officers were made aware of reports of a disturbance in Vicarage Square, Grays, at around 6pm on Saturday .

"They carried out extensive enquiries and a search of the area but no evidence of any offences could be found.

"Anyone with information can contact Essex Police on 101."
