Police seek witnesses after arrest of man who fled Stanford-le-Hope crash

A MAN has been arrested following a collision on Victoria Road, Stanford-Le-Hope this morning, (Tuesday 23 June).

Police were called shortly before 9.20am with reports a Vauxhall Insignia and an Audi A4 had been in collision. Officers arrived and arrested a 30-year-old man from Thurrock on suspicion of drug driving.

Witnesses say the man had initially fled the scenbe but was detained by officers.

No serious injuries were reported. The man remains in police custody.
