Police seek witnesses to Lakeside assault and robbery

POLICE have confirmed they are investigating an altercation at Lakeside Shopping centre which left a man injured.
Thurrock Nub News reported on the incident over the weekend.
A statement from Essex Police says: "We are investigating an allegation of robbery reported to have taken place on Level 3 of Lakeside, Thurrock, around 7pm on Saturday 15 April.
"A 19-year-old man reported being approached by four males wearing masks. He was assaulted and had his bag stolen. He sustained an injury to his eye.
"No weapon was seen.
"Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call 101 and quote crime reference 42/68724/23."
