DETECTIVES investigating an incident in Grays today (Sunday, 9 August) are appealing for a witness to come forward.

Officers were called to Grays Park, Orsett Road, at around 12.50pm following reports of a man behaving suspiciously in the park.

A man has since been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.

A police statement says: "As part of our enquiries, we believe a man who was in the park at the time spoke to the suspect about his behaviour before leaving the area prior to officers arriving.

"We are keen to speak to him as he may have information that could assist our investigation.

"We would also like to hear from anyone else who was in the park and has not yet spoken to police, particularly if they witnessed the incident or have any footage that could help our enquiries.

"Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact us quoting crime reference 42/126564/26 so that information can be passed to the investigating officer as quickly as possible.
