Police update on incident at fishing lake

THURROCk Nub News has been aware, since last evening, of a major incident involving all three main emergency services that took place at Moor Lane fishing lake near South Ockendon on Friday, 22 May.
Today (Sunday, 24 May) Essex Police issued the following statement: "Emergency services attended Arisdale Avenue, South Ockendon at around 6pm on Friday 22 May where two teenage boys had got into difficulty in the water.
"Both were taken to hospital where one boy remains; the other has since been released."
