Port hosts annual Remembrance commemoration paying tribute to those who gave their lives in maritime service

By Nub News Reporter   13th Nov 2023

TILBURY'S International Cruise Terminal played host to a service of Remembrance this evening (Monday, 13 November).

It was attended by dignitaries including the mayors of Thurrock and Gravesham and paid tribute to the men and women from across the Port of London authority area who lost their loves in conflict.

Many members of local youth organisations attended. Music was from Tilbury Brass Band.

The service followed on from yesterday's traditional service in Tilbury Civic Square where local residents braved the raon to pay their respects to the town's fallen heroes.
