PRIDE 2026, a day of celebration for Thurrock's LBGTQ+ community took place in the borough today (Saturday, 13 June).

Events began at the Wharf pub by the Thames riverside where there was a brunch and live entertainment ahead of a march along the river promenade to Grays.

Participants then strolled through the town's High Street before arriving at the Thameside Theatre where a stage had been erected in the sunshine and an afternoon of performances and entertainment followed.

The Pride flag was raised outside the town hall, despite the council's wishes!

In the evening the community is set to return for a party night at the Wharf, where more live entertainment is planned.
