Pride is on its way after Dame Dollie launched the fun

By Nub News Reporter 31st May 2025

IT was eyes down at the Thameside Theatre in Grays this week for an event to launch the upcoming Thurrock Pride event.

Dame Dollie (Thurrock's very own panto star Luke Coldham) called the numbers as members and friends of Thurrock LGBTQ+ community came together for an evening of mirth and conversation about forthcoming events.

Thurrock Pride week will start with the T100 Walk on Saturday, 7 June from 10am to 3pm

Pride month will be celkebrated via a walk along the river from Purfleet to Grays, followed by a BBQ and live music at the Beehive Resource Centre.

The 'big day' itself is Saturday, 14 June when the Thameside complex on Orsett Road will be the epicentre of activity.

It will host a family friendly event for the whole community, celebrating diversity, inclusion and equality. Organised by the Thurrock LGBTQ+ Network.
