Pub fire was started deliberately: Police are investigating

AN investigation into a fire at a borough pub was arson.
Thurrock Nub News reported yesterday (Wednesday, 1 April) on the blaze at the Railway Tavern in Stanford-le-Hope.
An investigation into the cause of the incident has now concluded the fire was started deliberately.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: We were called to reports of a fire in King Street at around 2.55am on 1 April.
"The fire service believe it was started deliberately so we are investigating it as arson.
"Our enquiries are ongoing.
