SERVICE veterans and members of Grays Thurrock Branch of the Royal British will be in the town centre tomorrow (Wednesday, 7 May) to mark VE Day, the 79th anniversary of Victory in Europe.

Members will be at the Morrisons store from 10am to 5pm, taking donations for the Legion, and marking the landmark day in the Second World War.

The Union Jack is expected to be flown at the civic offices and at the town's war memorial on the High Street.
