REPORTS are emerging this evening (Friday, 30 December) of an incident in Gobions Park, East Tilbury.

It has been suggested on social media that someone has been injured and it has been confirmed that someone has been taken away for treatment in an ambulance.

Police are reported to be at the site and to have cordoned off an area.

The park, which is close to East Tilbury rail station, has become a 'hotspot' for anti-social behaviour.

In September residents called for an increase in policing in the area.

And on 30 September police intervened and helped disperse young people and calm down the situation after a clash in the village park.

Police have been contacted for information about this evening's incident.
