BOROUGH residents are being invited to share their thoughts on the future of Coalhouse Fort at an 'open weekend' coming shortly.

As recently reported on Thurrock Nub News, after a couple of years where the future of listed military building and park has been fallow, a new initiative by Thurrock Council, which owns it, is seeking to shape a positive future for the site.

Now resdients are being asked to contribute to that process.

On Saturday, 12 October and Sunday, 13 October, the Fort will be open. Residents are invited to attend and meet the team trying to find solutions and shape the future of the site.

The 'meet, greet and question' session will take place on the parade ground and there will not be access to other parts of the fort for health and sfaety reasons. Much of the fort is in a state of disrepair.
