RESIDENTS in the Grays, Chadwell and Tilbury area were left with no water or low water pressure after a main burst on Marshfoot Road this morning (Sunday, 27 September).

A statement from Essex and Suffolk Water says: "We were made aware of a burst on a water main in Grays early this morning.

"A technician attended the area and located the burst. Shortly after the burst was located at Marshfoot Road it was isolated, restoring supplies to Grays and Chadwell St Mary. A repair crew is now on site working to repair the main.

"Customers may experience low pressure due to the size of the area affected.

"We'd like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to those in the affected area and thank them for their patience and understanding while we work quickly to return things back to normal."
