Residents threatened with knife and other weapons after gang break into borough home in early hours and make off with haul

POLICE are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Aveley.

It was reported four people broke into an address in Love Lane at around 2.35am today (Wednesday, 6 July) armed with a large knife and a crow bar or wrench.

They threatened the people inside and demanded money and valuables and made off with jewellery, an electric bike, cash and Dolce and Gabbana bag worth a three-figure sum.

A police statement says: "We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact us.
