RESIDENTS in Horndon on the Hill are being urged to sign up and help ensure the village is able to receive faster broadband.

The village's community forum is spearheading a community application to the government and Openreach to install super speed fibre cable for free.

That is dependent on a sufficient number of residents signing up.

Residents need to visit this link to make a pledge to sign up for the scheme – either at a domestic or commercial premises in the village (not both).

The forum's chairman Kim Towlson says: "Once we reach target all pledges are validated and accepted, Openreach will conduct site surveys and the installation can begin! Once the cables have been installed it is then your responsibility to purchase a fibre broadband contract with a supplier of your choice within 10 days."

For more information contact Kim ([email protected]) or Laura Miller or Kelly Judge via Facebook.
