THE week ahead will bring an opportunity for residents in South Ockendon to have their say on plans for their areas.

South Ockendon has been identified by Thurrock Council as one of the growth areas in its Local Plan and drop-in events, designed specifically for South Ockendon, will be taking place next week.

It will give residents the opportunity to discuss the council's plans and express their own views.

The first event will be on Tuesday, 7 December from 5 to 9pm at the Brandon Groves Hall and the second on Saturday, 11 December from 11am to 3pm at Belhus Library.

A council statement says: "The events will provide the opportunity to speak with a member of the project team and see the information gathered to date. All the activities available at the sessions are also available on the website www.thurrockyourplaceyourvoice.co.uk."
