TILKBURY Riverside Project Picnic in the Park was a great success last Wednesday on the Anchor field.

Hundreds of people came out to enjoy the sun and entertainment.

There was singing from Libby and performances included the Elite Twirlers and Little Tappers. The event also had Little Legs who entertained the children and circus skills who came along with all their juggling tricks!

As well as all that there was free face painting, free Port of Tilbury footballs, free kiddie rides, fancy dress competition and messy play!

Entertainment on stage

The community came out with their picnics to enjoy the day.

Annie O'Brien, project manager of Tilbury Riverside Project, has expressed thanks to EMR, Port of Tilbury, Tilbury Hub, CVS for Little Legs, Arts Council for the circus skills and Asda for the fancy dress prizes.

She added: "Without all this support, events like this would not be able to happen! Thank you to the Tilbury community for making it a special day for the town."
