A REBORN Thurrock football team is to make a return to its spiritual home as it continues its resurrection journey.

East Thurrock Community FC was born when fans got together and formed a new club in the wake of the financial demise of East Thurrock United.

The Rocks senior team folded in September 2023 due to significant historical debts.

The Rookery Hill ground in Corringham was then leased to Basildon Town to use - and later Romford FC spent a season there.

However, it is currently unused, though it has been maintained to a reasonable standard by the grounds staff at Wyldecrest Club on Herd Lane in Corringham, where the reborn ETC FC have been playing since the start of last season.

The new club was put together by a fan consortium with a multitude of owners, including fans around the world.

The club play in the Essex and Suffolk Border League and currently top the table and are seeking promotion.
