Roundabout will be effective no go area for the weekend

SIGNIFICANT disruption to local traffic is expected this weekend with major works due to take place at the Orsett Cock roundabout as part of the A13 widening project.
The roundabout will effectively be closed in mist direction from 9pm on Friday (21 May) until 5am, on Monday, 24 May.
Thurrock Council has warned all road users to avoid the roundabout and plan alternative routers, having listed the following closures:
Orsett Cock roundabout – closed northbound between the A1013 Stanford Road and the A13 eastbound exit slip road.
A13 westbound – entry slip road closed from the Orsett Cock roundabout.
A1013 Stanford Road - closed eastbound between Rectory Road and Orsett Cock roundabout.
A13 eastbound – exit slip road closed towards the A128 (Orsett) junction for 1 night only on Sunday 23 May, 9pm to 5am.
Other works in the area this week include:
To Thursday, 20 May, 9:30am till 3:30pm: Orsett Cock roundabout – lane closures on the approach to, and around, the roundabout.
Two nights, Wednesday, 19 May and Thursday 20 May, 9pm till 5am: A13 westbound – exit slip road closed towards the A128 (Orsett) junction. Diversion via the A13 westbound to the A1012 (Stifford) junction and back again on the A13 eastbound.
One night, Thursday, 20 May, 9pm till 5am: Horndon Bridge – bridge closed between Stanford-le-Hope and Horndon on the Hill. All bridge users should make alternative arrangements for their journey.
