AN award-winning Thurrock school is once again at the forefront of top education awards.
Arthur Bugler Primary School in Stanford-le-Hope has again been shortlisted in the Pearson's National Teaching Awards for the Primary School of the Year Award 2021.
The awards are considered to be 'The Oscars' of the teaching world! First established in 1998, they annually celebrate the excellence in education, recognising the work of teachers across the UK.
In the nomination citation Arthur Bugler Primary is described as: "A really lovely family to be a part of. The staff at Arthur Bugler Primary School have, and continue to go above and beyond to ensure everyone within its care are recognised, valued and celebrated.
"It is therefore fitting that such a wonderful school is now being recognised for all of its hard work."
Arthur Bugler headteacher John Bryant said: "After such a challenging 12 months for everyone working in education, this is fantastic news for our school and community!
"It really does recognise the outstanding commitment from all of the staff, the hard work of the children and the support from all parents and carers. Arthur Bugler is a truly amazing and unique school full of fun and laughter that finds the good in every single child. It really is more than just a school, and this is fantastic news for everyone!"
Arthur Bugler Primary School is now preparing for the virtual interviewing stage which will be held next month to see if they are shortlisted for the coveted Silver Award. If they succeed, they will then go forward to see if they win the overall Gold Award.
