School mourns student who died after contracting meningitis

STUDENTS and staff at Grays' Hathaway Academy have been mourning the death of Year 11 pupil Arjun Singh.
The school has announced: "It is with great sadness and an extremely heavy heart to inform you that Arjun Singh, one of our Year 11 pupils passed away on Wednesday. 18 June.
"Arjun was fairly recently diagnosed with meningitis and fought a hard battle during the last couple of weeks.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Arjun's parents and other family members at this saddest of times."
