SOUTH Ockendon's TipToe Stage School showcased young talent in Thurrock by winning prestigious categories at a national industry event recently.
Last weekend saw some of the pupils represent the school in the Emotion Dance Competition.
With entries in almost every category, the school saw both solo performers and group dances win big.
Gaining first place were group dances "Freak" - which won the highest overall group score of the whole competition - "Moonlight" and "When I Ruled the World". Along with Eliot Carter who gained Gold in his solo tap.
Other pupils who were recognised were Megan Bristow, William Faria, Bethany Griffin and Reed Cooke.
Lillie–Ella Morris was also presented with the Directors Award.
The competition came at a busy time in the schools' calendar as three of the pupils – Megan, Lillie and Reed – have started working with Kimberly Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls for her appearance at the international Move It Dance Convention.
Commenting on the success, the school Vice Principal, Elena – Beth Carter said: "The first three months of this year have been just as busy as last year! Which is great for the school, and we've got a packed schedule until December with shows, competitions, festivals and filming.
"But that's one of the good things about TipToe, you're free to take as many or as few classes as you wish. We recognise that some people love taking part in competitions and some purely come for the classes. Everyone is welcome.
"These young people make me so proud and to teach them is an absolute pleasure. They're all destined for such great things".
TipToe offer classes in all genres, for all ages, for all abilities so if you're interested in finding out more, please visit www.tiptoestageschool.com
