Scouts renew their promise and Jacob takes top award

THURROCk District Scouts celebrated another year of achievement with their renewal of promise at the weekend.

They gathered at Hathaway Academy in Grays, where borough mayor Cllr Sue Little was a guest.

Afterwards all the packs paraded from Hathaway Road to Blackshots Playing Fields.

During the Renewal of Promise Service. at Hathaway the following awards were presented.

Rainbow Challenge Award (Beaver Scouts) - Tilbury 

Alf Lowne Trophy (Cub Scouts) Thameside Orion Cub Pack 

Alf Lowne Trophy (Scouts) - 2nd Stanford Scout Group

Constellation Cup (Explorer Scouts) Aquila

Kings Scout Award - Jacob Ward
