A THURROCK nursery schools director is celebrating a double success after receiving a second outstand Ofsted report.

Jodie Lucas is a director and manager of Little Chestnuts which is based at the Karis May Darling Centre in Corringham which was graded outstanding in October 2021 after its first inspection.

Now she has received the same accolade for Little Chestnuts that opened at High House Production Park in Purfleet in April 2024.

It was reviewed for the first time this year and the outstanding outcome has just been released.

Ms Lucas says: "Purfleet opened in April 2024 and in just over a year has been graded Ofsted Outstanding. We are currently full but in September 2025 we have 4/5 spaces left.

"The curriculum and ethos is child centred, with a huge focus on outdoor learning and the natural world. We create awe and wonder for children, so they become curious, inquisitive learners."
