The next round of applications for secondary school places in Thurrock opens on Monday, 7 September 2020.

Parents and carers of children who were born between 1 September 2009 and 31 August 2010 will be able to apply for a secondary school place from this date. The deadline for applications this year is 11.59pm on Saturday, 31 October 2020.

Cllr Andrew Jefferies, cabinet member for education, said: "As our children prepare to return to school this year we must also look ahead to those students making the step from primary school to secondary school in September 2021.

"Year on year Thurrock helps thousands of young people secure a place in one of their preferred schools in the borough. It's important that parents and carers follow the instructions carefully and submit their application before the end of October so we can allocate school places accordingly."

Primary school admissions will open later this year on Sunday, 1 November.
