THE Towngate theatre in Basildon is inviting local people to take a walk down memory lane and revisit one of its most successful pantomimes.

Knowing that so many people across south Essex are missing visiting their local panto, the Towngate and Simon Fielding Ltd will be offering audiences the opportunity to stream Snow White this festive season.

The production from 2018-19 was awarded five star reviews from The Stage and West End Wilma, and made history for being the Towngate's biggest-ever selling pantomime.

Now a film of the production is being shown online on a streaming service.

Residents can subscribe to one of two online runs of the show. The first is from 11am on Wednesday, 23 December until Monday, 28 December and the second from 11am on Tuesday, 29 December until Sunday 3 January 2021.

Tickets are £10 per household which can only be purchased on the Towngate's website via this link.

Simon Fielding, who also directed and co-produced the production said: "In these uncertain and worrying times, the thought of not bringing any panto magic to our wonderful and loyal audiences was unthinkable.

"We decided that we had to do something to lift everyone's spirits - and what better way than with our best-selling, most popular panto of all time!

"I hope you enjoy this fabulous family favourite, and I can't wait to see you all when we return with Beauty and the Beast in 2021."
