FRIENDS of Bonnygate Park Community Interest Company in South Ockendon have announced the first two of their planned Bus'n'Bounce community days this year.

The group, which is part of the Nesta Performing Parks project along with four other parks in the borough, has committed to five bounce days this year for the South Ockendon Community.

The first is on Friday, 17 April from noon to 4pm during the Easter holidays and second date has also been announced for the May half term (29 May) and a further three are planned for the school summer holidays, part of a wider borough wide programme.

The event is open to all children up to 11 years old including toddlers who will have their own special double decker soft play bus to play on as well as bouncy castles.

The group are also looking for South Ockendon based community groups who would like to have a stand or even put on a performance at the bounce days, anyone wishing to enquire should email [email protected]. Spaces are limited.

CIC Director Eddy Baptiste says: "We are really excited for what 2020 will hold for the park and project, bounce days are a huge success for our friends over at Hardie Park in Stanford, and our first one in South Ockendon last year was phenomenal the feedback we've had from the community was fantastic, they loved it, we've got loads planned!"
