Praise for co-ordinators and volunteers as Re-engage plans for expansion in new year

VOLUNTEERS who work within the Re-engage charity's Thurrock branch came together recently to plan for next year.
The co-ordinators are crucial in ensuring support for the ten groups on elderly, lonely or vulnerable people supported by the charity across the borough.
Speaking after the meeting at Headon Hall in Stifford Clays, regional co-ordinator Loraine Coleman sang their praises, saying: "It's important to recognise the wonderful ladies who run our 10 Thurrock tea party groups, as well as saying a big thank you to everyone across Thurrock who supports us.
"Their dedication, love and care are truly at the heart of everything we do. They are inspirational and, alongside our fantastic volunteers, without them our tea parties simply wouldn't happen.
"We have such exciting times ahead, with our charity Race Night, Christmas Fayre and our wonderful Christmas Lunch. We are also growing our Re-engage family, with plans to launch Thurrock 11 in the New Year!
"We're really looking forward to 2027 — a year filled with happiness, joy and many more special tea parties shared with our lovely guests and volunteers
"A truly heartfelt thank you also goes to our local businesses, community groups, Thurrock residents, volunteers and the families of our guests for your incredible generosity and support.
"Because of you, we can continue providing free, enriching tea parties and wonderful experiences for our very special guests."
