Sparkling event boosted children's charity

By Nub News Reporter   5th Nov 2024

A CHILDREN'S cancer charity was recently boosted by a fundraising event at a borough garden centre.

Thurrock Garden Centre on South Roadm South Ockendon, held a Christmas Showcase evening, inviting guests to enjoy a drink and a mince pie as well as benefit from discounts on many seasonal items.

The evening raised more than £190 for Lennox Children's Cancer Charity.

And the centre, which offers a wide range of Christmas-themed products - has a tree in store with gift tags for children as part of their Christmas Gift Appeal. Customers can choose a tag and donate a gift to a child affected by cancer.
