Spectacular crash but drivers escape

EMERGENCY services reported no one was injured in spectacular crash that blocked a busy Thurrock road this morning (Monday, 25 October).

It happened just after 8.30am on Stifford Road in South Ockendon and involved a sports car.

An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a road traffic collision on Stifford Road, South Ockendon at 8.36am.

"On arrival, crews reported that two cars had collided and worked to make the scene safe by 9.13am."

A statement from the East of England Ambulance Service added: "An ambulance and senior paramedic in a response vehicle attended a road traffic collision on Stifford Road in South Ockendon. Two patients were assessed at the scene and did not require transportation to hospital."
