Spooktacular boost for St Luke's

RESIDENTS on a Grays residential road rallied together to mount a spectacular Halloween display and after the counting has stopped have revealled they made a spooktacular amount of £637 for St Luke's Hospice.

For the 19th tear the event took place on King Edward Drive and after an early downpour didn't dampen spirits as visitors flocked to join residents,

A residents' spokesperson said: "It was so lovely to see some old and new friends there, we had a lady travel all the way from Beckton just to see our road and didn't all the kids look great

"And to add all that we have raised over £637 for St Lukes which is just an amazing amount of money.

"Thanks to our wonderful neighbours for joining in the fun and especially to Pete and Denise who loan us their driveway each year, to our wonderful helpers who help us to set up and then don some awesome costumes and pose for photographs.

"We honestly could not do it without you all. Next year is our 20th year, so I guess we may just have to do something extra special!"
