FAMILIES from Stanford-le-Hope's Arthur Bugler Primary School took to the streets in high spirits and full fancy dress for a self-organised spooky Halloween walk, successfully scoring approximately 7,200 points for the school's Beat the Street team leaderboard.
The community-led initiative today (Saturday, 31 October) brought together pupils, parents, and school supporters for a themed walk aimed at encouraging active travel while celebrating Halloween. Participants made a memorable impression across the local area in a vibrant array of costumes, with dinosaurs, minions, witches, pumpkins, and even a few traitors spotted among the mix.

The Halloween walk generated around 7,200 points in a single event, delivering a substantial boost to Arthur Bugler Primary School's position in the local Beat the Street physical activity challenge.
Beat the Street is a community-wide physical activity game that transforms local towns into giant games, encouraging families to walk, cycle, and roll to collect points and win prizes for their teams.
The school has expressed its sincere thanks to all the families who organised, attended, and supported the walk, contributing both to local physical health and school pride.
