Life threatening stabbing in Grays. Police appeal for information

A MAN is in a 'life threatening' condition after being assaulted, reportedly with a knife, in Grays last night (Wednesday, 24 February)

Police remain at the scene of the incident in Charles Street, which took place around 8.30pm.

During the incident, a 19-year-old man sustained injuries which police believe to have been caused by a knife.

He is being treated in hospital and is in a serious condition, described as life threatening by officers.

A police statement says: "We need anyone with information on the incident, including dash cam and doorbell footage of the area between 8pm and 8.40pm last night to submit a report online via this link where you can use the live chat function which is available between 7am and 11pm.
