Stanford Road closed tonight with diversion via Orsett. Weekend A13 diversions to follow

By Neil Speight 25th Mar 2021

TONIGHT (Thursday, 25 March) the A1013 Stanford Road will be closed in both directions between Orsett Cock roundabout and Rectory Road. Diversions via the A128, Prince Charles Avenue and Rectory Road, and vice versa.

And there will be another significant closure of the A13 this weekend when diversions will be in operation.

The eastbound carriageway will be closed between the Orsett Cock roundabout (A128) and Stanford-le-Hope Manorway junction (A1014).

The closure takes place from 9pm on Friday, 26 March until 5am on Monday, 29 March. Drivers are advised to avoid the area where possible. Local traffic will be diverted via the A1013 Stanford Road. Non-local traffic should avoid the A13 and use alternative routes such as the A127.

The work is part of the ongoing A13 widening project.
