Store event hailed a sweet success

A CAKE bake and sale proved a big success today (Tuesday, 11 February) as it raised awareness of a mental health charity and funds for it.
The sale took place at the Co-op store at Socketts Heath, Grays, which has a proud record of helping good causes in the local community.
Claire Mason, the store's Member Pioneer responsible for liaising with charities and local organisations, thanked members of staff and customers who baked and donated cakes and biscuits.
She added: "A big thanks to everyone for supporting this event where a total of £174.22 was raised for MIND - the Co-op's national charity for 2020."
