Students paid tribute in 'Saluting Our Sisters' event at Thameside

Students from Grays schools the Woodside Academy and Grays Convent delighted an audiences with their talents at the Thameside complex on Monday, 30 October.

The students from the Convent had been working on a project called Saluting Our Sisters in school which celebrates the historical achievements of black women.

These achievements were presented in verse, song and dance with the performances enhanced by the talented students of Woodside Academy playing an array of topical songs on the school's Steel Pans.
