LESS than a year since taking over as owner of the Just Cuts kiosk in Intu Lakeside, Holly Feltham has swapped it for a shiny new salon space in the shopping centre. The 26-year-old joined the Australian hair salon brand as a stylist when it arrived in the UK in January 2018 – now, she's cut the ribbon at the opening of her own salon.

"Moving to the larger premises with wash basins, more stylist chairs and a waiting area is extremely exciting. It's double the size of the kiosk space, which means we can accommodate many more clients – and boy was there a lot of hair to cut coming out of lockdown!

"To manage increasing customer levels and ensure that it's a comfortable environment for everyone during this time of social distancing, customers are encouraged to use our app. This allows them to check into a virtual queue and wait their turn, not only removing any unnecessary stress, but reducing the risk as they wait for their time in the chair.

"The safety of our customers and staff is paramount. Of course, this is a little different to how we imagined our launch happening, but we've adapted to make it the best experience possible.

"I will stop at nothing to achieve my goals and plan on owning two more salons within the next year years," Holly added. "I'm eager to see what the future has in store, especially during the busy Christmas period. It's crazy to look back on how far I've come since joining Just Cuts and I'm ready for the challenge."

You can find Just Cuts at Intu Lakeside on Brompton Walk next to Base on Level 2. To find out how you can book in to get your cut, visit their Facebook page.
