A CHARITY which helps reunited residents in Thurrock with their lost pets has reported a one hundred per cent take-up of its latest fundraising venture.

That has prompted Michelle McQueen, one of the people behind 'Pippa's army - Lost and Found pets in Havering & Thurrock!' to describe the charity's supporters as 'amazing people.

The charity is a volunteer group based in and around the Havering and Thurrock area which utlilises community spirit to find lost pets.

It was created by Barry Khan in the wake of a huge community effort in 2016 to find his family's lost dog called Pippa.

And its Facebook page now has 12,256 members.

The group uses funds raised to buy micro chip scanners, traps, leads and other items.

Its latest fundraiser was an online raffle which sold out in hours, prompting the accolade for supporters.
