THE Old Ship Inn Aveley recently received recognition from CAMRA Pub Heritage Group for outstanding importance of its little-altered interior.

Anyone who has visited this public house would know that not only are you welcomed by a very friendly Landlord Kevin Field and his staff but a very cosy interior with the old charm still intact.

Talking to Kevin about this recognition he said that he was delighted to have received this recognition.

He said: "I always wanted to run a pub and I was fortunate to find The Old Ship Inn 6 and a half years ago and have put my heart and soul into the place but being the oldest pub in the Aveley Village there is a lot of the old features inside which are part of the feel of the interior.

"I'm pleased to promote the pub as a community pub too. I would like to thank CAMRA Pub Heritage Group for this recognition and long may the interior of the pub remain!"
