Thieves snatch bike in broad daylight from flats compound

By Nub News Reporter   10th Dec 2023

A FILM taken by a passer-by has highlighted thieves at work in the heart of Grays.

Two men in dark clothes took little more than a minute to undo the mainframe of the bike from its chained position in the car park of Butler House, Grays, at 1.11pm today (Sunday, 10 December).

They rode away on another cycle with one of them carrying the frame.

Residents and ward councillors in the area have been complaining recently about the lack of security around the tower blocks in South Grays, where work continues on a refurbishment project.

Nub News has forwarded the film to both police and Thurrock Council.

Anyone who has information about the theft or the identity of the thieves is asked to contact the police by calling 101 or passing in information via this link.
