MOTORISTS were asked to avoid the Buckingham Hill Road area this morning (Monday, 1 March) following a crash close to the Linford tip.

For several days there have been concerns about the amount of queues building up around the tip – and coupled with heavy HGV weekday traffic the congestion has caused further concerns, with local wards councillors Fraser Massey and Sue Sammons both calling for better marshalling and improved signage.

This morning's crash involved three vehicles.

It was cleared by noon but there are still lengthy queues at the tip.
