Three released but probe goes on after incident which saw helicopter deployed and arrests related to drugs

THREE men are under police investigation after being released following an incident in Chadwell St Mary which saw multiple officers and the police helicopter deployed.

The men were arrested after a car was searched during a stop check in Godman Road close to the Chadwell flats complex at about 11am yesterday (Monday, 16 May).

A statement by police issued today says: "The men, aged 19, 19 and 21 and all from Grays, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

"They have been released under investigation."
