BOROUGh Mayor Cllr Karen Raper officially opened Thurock's Beer Festival at the Civic Hall, Blackshots today.

The event will run until Saturday, with entertainment on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Cllr Kairen Raper pulls the first pint.
