Thurrock coronavirus death rate rises by six

SIX new deaths have been recorded in Thurrock in the latest figures provided by the government.

The total number of people in the borough whose death is recorded as coronavirus-related now stands at 128. That figure was taken on 29 May so is likely to have risen.

Between 29 February and 29 May 24 per cent of all deaths in Thurrock involved coronavirus.

As of today (Tuesday, 9 June) 344 people in the borough have been confirmed as having had the virus.
