Thurrock port staff praised for their efforts to keep medical profession supplied in coronavirus fight

THE boss at Thurrock's DP World London Gateway port has taken to social media to praise the local workforce.

Port operations director Andrew Bowen says: "Whilst most people are working/ staying at home and social distancing, our team at DP World London Gateway are working very hard around the clock handling large volumes of food, medical and other key supplies required by the public during this coronavirus crisis.

"A great job by the team in these tough times, working safely and also following the social distancing rules."
