TODAY (Friday, 27 January) Holocaust Memorial Day was remembered at the Herbert E. Brooks Memorial Rest Garden, Grays.

Schoolchildren gave readings and sang, with tributes from Mayor of Thurrock Cllr James Halden, Cabinet Member for Culture & Communities Cllr Qaisar Abbas and ward councillor and Labour group leader Cllr John Kent.

The service was led by Rev cannon Darren Barlow.
