THE headteacher of Ortu Gable Hall has been confirmed as being positive with Covid-19.

Ceri Evans made a live Facebook broadcast (View here) to tell parents the news and he told them that the best course of action going forwards would be isolation for the children as, because of the nature of his job, it was possible he would have been in contact with them.

A number of other members of staff have also been confirmed as positive.

Mr Evans says he is hoping to implement further safety measures in school on the return after half term, which will include the wearing of masks in school.

He says all parents and carers will be continually be kept in touch with events at the school and there will be a further briefing next Friday before the children are due to return.
